Flights to Los Cabos International Airport (SJD)
Most major cities have direct flights to SJD. If you are planning on coming to the Welcome Fiesta, be sure to book your flight to land in Cabo in the morning or early afternoon on Thursday to have plenty of time before shuttles pick up from Esperanza and Hacienda Encantada at 5:20!
Don’t forget your passport!
Please double check the expiration date of your passport and make sure it doesn’t expire until after your departure date from Cabo.
Use the link below to learn more about renewing or obtaining a passport.
Getting There
Our wedding is taking place during Cabo’s high season so please be sure to book your flights as soon as possible. If you are flying Alaska Airlines, please use our discount code ECMK606 for 7% off your fare.
Airport Transportation
While Ubers are great for getting around Cabo, Ubers are not allowed to pickup from the Cabo airport (note: they ARE allowed for drop offs!). We highly recommend pre-booking private transportation through the recommended service with our discounted rates, below. You can also coordinate transportation through your hotel or take a taxi upon landing found outside the airport!
P.S. Be sure to ignore all of the sales people when exiting the airport and walk straight outside to your transportation. :)
If you’re interested in coordinating rides with other guests who might be on your flight or landing around the same time, please enter your flight and contact info in the Google Sheet below. Feel free to contact others on this list to link up!

The Cape, a Thompson Hotel
One of our favorite places to stay in Cabo, The Cape is a quick ~10 minute drive from Esperanza. We will be staying here from 2/25 - 2/27 before checking in to Esperanza. We’d love for you to join us if you’re coming into town early!
Things to do!
-
A farm to table restaurant on a 10-acre working organic farm. Flora Farms is picturesque and delicious. You can tour the farm fields, visit the row of upscale shops, and then dine at the open-air restaurant. A little bit of a drive from Esperanza (~35 minutes) but SO worth it. Also, don’t be freaked out driving up the long dirt road, you’re going the right way!
El Huerto Farm to Table Restaurant
For a much closer farm to table experience, we highly recommend El Huerto! El Huerto is great for dinner or brunch and only 15 minutes away from Esperanza. The vibe is great and all of the fresh vegetables are grown there on the farm. This is where we’ll be spending our rehearsal dinner with immediate family and wedding party on Friday evening.
An ocean front, Michelin recommended restaurant at Esperanza’s sister hotel, Chileno Bay Resort. Ask the Esperanza concierge about the free shuttle between hotels!
On our first trip to Cabo together, we stayed at The Cape, a beautiful hotel a quick drive away from Esperanza! There is an awesome rooftop bar with great views, music, drinks and bites!
The Office is an institution in Cabo! A sandy beach bar, go for a casual lunch or happy hour drinks and expect live music and a festive vibe.
A classic Cabo dinner spot, Edith’s is a colorful garden restaurant with fresh Mexican food. The lively space is good for groups.

Whale Watching
Our wedding weekend is taking place when the whales are in Cabo! The Baja California Peninsula separates the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific, and this junction has the perfect conditions for whale breeding. Late January through February and into March is when females start calving, so there is good chance you’ll see some baby whales! We love watching them from the infinity edge pools at the hotel, but if you want to get up close and personal, we recommend sailing out to them! A variety of companies offer full and half-day excursions, sunset cruises, whale watching, dinner and show packages, or snorkeling and diving adventures. Whale-watching tours in the area are safeguarded to be as eco-friendly as possible and fill up fast, so make sure to book ahead.
El Arco
A must see photo op, El Arco (The Arch in English) is a distinctive rock formation just off the coast of Cabo. Take a sailboat or catamaran to the stone arch and beyond for an afternoon. Check out these companiesthat offer all kinds of cruise options!
San Jose Del Cabo Art Gallery District
Browse or buy the perfect piece during a stroll through the Gallery District, located behind San José del Cabo's historic main square. Art galleries display original paintings, sculpture, prints, photographs, and jewelry created by local artisans, as well as national and international artists. Browse before grabbing dinner in the area!
Choose your activity from an off-road ride in an ATV, zipline tour, sling swing, camel ride, bungee jump, or hike. There's an animal sanctuary, horseback riding, sailing, and an aquatic park and restaurant for cooling off after your adventures.
