Frequently Asked Questions
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE IN CABO?
We’ll be kicking off the weekend festivities with a Welcome Fiesta on Thursday, February 27th at 6pm at La Lupita in downtown Cabo San Lucas (shuttles to pick up at Esperanza and Hacienda Encantada at 5:50pm). Most guests will arrive this day and we recommend booking your flight to land in the morning or early afternoon so you have plenty of time to settle in and get ready before the Fiesta! If you are planning on booking your flight on Alaska Airlines, don’t forget to use our special code (ECMK606) for 7% off your fare!
DO YOU HAVE HOTEL RECOMMENDATIONS?
Yes! We have a block of rooms reserved at Esperanza, an Auberge Resort, at a special rate. Please visit the Travel & Stay Page for booking information. We have also listed other nearby hotels and vacation rentals as other options, including Hacienda Encantada where we will be providing transportation for our weekend events.
DO I HAVE TO STAY WHERE THE ROOM BLOCK IS?
No! There is no shortage of great accommodations in Cabo. On the “Travel & Stay” page, we have a list of recommended hotels and vacation rentals close to the resort where the wedding will take place for you to choose from. However, due to the strict Cabo rules you will not be able to visit us on property outside of the Wedding Day as all Cabo resorts are closed off for guests only (unless you book at the spa or restaurant 😉).
WHAT IS THE ATTIRE FOR THE THURSDAY WELCOME FIESTA?
The dress is elevated casual. Bright, colorful, and dressy-casual! Think cute cocktail or summery dresses paired with block heels or cute sandals for women and linen button downs or polos for men! Bright colors and fun prints encouraged. :)
FOR OUR IMMEDIATE FAMILIES AND WEDDING PARTY, WHAT IS THE ATTIRE FOR THE FRIDAY REHEARSAL DINNER?
The dress is cocktail. Our stunning venue, El Huerto, is on a farm so picture garden party / floral vibes. Think floral cocktail dresses paired with block heels or flat sandals (we will be on grass) for women and button downs or slacks (no tie necessary) for men.
WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR THE WEDDING?
We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! The dress code is formal.
Ladies: Below-the-knee or floor length dresses. Think more elevated materials like silk, chiffon, etc. (save the linen for the Welcome Party!).
Gentleman: Suit and tie or tuxedo.
CAN I BRING A GUEST?
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate the guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear on your invite as well as when you RSVP. Thank you for your understanding!
ARE KIDS INVITED?
We love your little ones! However due to limited space, we have decided to keep our wedding an adults only event.
WILL THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION TAKE PLACE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?
Both events will take place outdoors.
DO I NEED A COVID TEST?
Testing is currently not required to enter Mexico or for re-entry to the United States.
WHAT CURRENCY SHOULD I BRING?
The official currency of Mexico is the peso, however U.S. dollars are widely accepted in Los Cabos along with most major credit and debit cards.
