has so much yet to be written, but begins as a modern romance—a “❤️” and a soft intro in return on a dating app called ‘Hinge.’

It was fall of 2020. Taylor had just abandoned her San Francisco studio apartment to seek refuge in Napa at her parent’s home. Danny had just relocated back to Napa from Spokane a few short weeks before the world sheltered in place. Pushing our luck on a dating app, Danny got a notification that Taylor had “liked” him on Hinge (she was sold on his handsome smile and of course, a photo with a dog). He, in kind, saw a beautiful adventurer with quick whit and a passion for living every day with all her heart.

A simple introduction quickly turned into a habit of checking notifications in hopes of another response. With every message our curiosity, interest, and soon after, love, grew deeper. Danny was quickly hooked even before meeting Taylor. A simple book recommendation inspired Danny to listen to 20+hours of an audiobook while on a drive back to Napa from Spokane just so he could impress her with his ‘thirst for reading’ on their first date.

After needing to reschedule their first date because Danny came down with covid on his aforementioned trip to Spokane, we finally met up in person at a rooftop bar in Napa and were inseparable ever since. A second date for coffee in Yountville and a third date for dinner in St. Helena (that ended with our first kiss 😉) told us both everything we needed to know.

We fell so quickly. Taylor had confided to her best friend (hello, Maid of Honor!) that she loved Danny just a month after meeting him but waited for him to say it first. Danny told Taylor he loved her on Christmas, just 6 weeks after their first date. :) Over the next few months, we continued to fall in love over shared interests- namely travel- with COVID-friendly trips to Hawaii, Big Sur, SoCal, and Spokane (for Taylor to meet Danny’s family!).

Even though covid brought so many unknowns about the future, it was quickly apparent that we saw our futures together. Taylor, who admittedly was considering moving to Los Angeles post lockdown, started to look for a home in Napa (you know, because it was a good investment 😉). Danny joined her on every single showing he could (you know, just for moral support 😉).

Now, three years later, we’ve built the most beautiful life together with our two-year-old Golden Retriever, Cody, by our side. We’ve shared countless memories, laughs, and adventures, and have grown so much as both individuals and partners, all with the support of each other.

As we celebrate this exciting next chapter in our relationship, we feel so blessed and excited to share it with you. We talk about how lucky we feel all the time to live this life together and it truly is the friends, family, and community around us that make it so special.
